Eos Collaboratories

Engineering Collaboratories are specially configured rooms or areas of Eos labs where students, faculty, and staff can meet to work on projects together. These learning spaces typically have one or two Eos workstations connected to a 42-inch plasma monitor, with network connections for individual laptops. Student-owned Computing

All incoming undergraduate engineering students are expected to have a laptop or tablet computer that meets college specifications. The college has adopted an open platform model, and special prices for laptops have been arranged at the NCSU Bookstores. Read about the SOC program and about learning to use your laptop in E115.

Get More Space!

Students can request personal lockers from ITECS, with Web sites delivered from http://people.engr.ncsu.edu. This file space is free of charge. Faculty and staff can also get free personal lockers, private AFS lockers, Web lockers, and course-workspace lockers for their students. Request file space and manage your lockers via the Locker Portal.

on a VCL Computer

The Virtual Computing Lab (VCL) is an on-demand, 24/7 facility that connects NCSU users to high-end computers for the purpose of running software applications remotely. It provides students and faculty with around-the-clock access to university-licensed software from any location. Reserve a VCL Computer.
